We’re looking for a Sr. Manager, Project Management to join our team.
The Sr Manager, Project Management will lead a team of project managers and is responsible for work assignments, timely completion of work, and utilization of team members to accomplish customer expectations. This position will also manage assigned projects. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills with an ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
What We Need & What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for control, integration, and completion of projects.
Manage multiple Project Managers by establishing annual performance goals, allocating resources, coaching and providing career assessment, mentoring, and assessing training needs.
Provide overall project management for a specific customer including creating project plans and estimates, presenting project plan to customer, communicating all time-related and overrun activities, and reviewing high-level deliverables across multiple projects.
Work on high-level business process analysis to define required project tasks.
Serve as a resource for process redesign and development for performance criteria.
Implement project management practices that result in successful project delivery.
Design the methodology for project specifics.
Recommends and facilitates improvement programs for Transition Management.
Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the company.
Additional responsibilities for strategic initiatives for the team.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems or related field.
3+ years of Manager level experience in a related field with an emphasis in building effective teams, developing direct reports, and conflict management.
Ability to utilize strategic knowledge and experience to provide practical implementation techniques to ensure achievement of results on a large-scale, long-term program of change in a complex, diverse environment.
Understanding of account operations, P&L management, budget management, and program management methodologies.
Experienced in dealing with ambiguity, conflict management, technical competence, and critical thinking.
Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure and architecture.
Understanding of the concept of revenues, margins, and labor cost with the ability to apply to CompuCom financial planning tools and practices.
Ability to communicate in technical and non-technical terms.
Skilled in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio
