Our high-visibility client is looking for an ESS Technician to help users resolve issues and requests on multi-platform hardware, including LINUX / Ubuntu and Windows.
LINUX / Ubuntu support experience is required to qualify for the position.
Support to include:
Staging / restaging & delivery of devices to user desk as required
Physical repair of hardware, as well as working with suppliers to ensure parts are replaced per client maintained service plans
Actively monitoring and responding to any site ticket queues as designated by the client
Support must be accomplished in cases where no knowledgebase exists to follow
Creation of knowledge base articles for LINUX / Ubuntu hardware, operating system, and line of business application issues and resolutions
Performing other support tasks: maintaining the support email queue, inventory assistance, answering site related requests or gathering support related metrics
Resources will work according to the following work breakdown:
70% Desktop Support
15% LINUX / Ubuntu knowledge article creation
15% other support tasks
Ideally candidate will be capable of transitioning to a managed service.
