The Field Support Tech in this position will provide service within a 15-mile radius of the target zip code of 48335.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 AM-6 PM, rotating on-call schedule nights and weekends every 3 to 5 weeks.
The primary role for the Field Support Technician will be supporting 100+ support contracts for field service. The Tech will handle all aspects of IT support needed including desktop, laptop, server, and printer repair, including HP, Dell, Lenovo, and Lexmark equipment. This position involves hands-on work diagnosing and fixing problems focusing on the mechanical repair of equipment. They should have good troubleshooting skills and good admin skills to process paperwork and handle the return and disposition of parts.
2+ years of experience supporting desktops, laptops, and printers
2+ years of customer service experience
Field experience a plus
Reliable transportation required (driving position – reimbursed accordingly)
Good admin / documentation skills
Must be able to work weekends, staggered or late shifts possibly including evenings and/or weekends
Strong interpersonal skills, as they will be interacting with a wide range of users and environments (outgoing and a team player)
Ability work on a ladder or lift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
CompTIA A+ OEM Printer Warranty certifications
OEM Laptop / Desktop Warranty certifications
Server experience would be a bonus
