CompuCom Desktop Support Technician I - A+ in United States

For this Desktop Support Tech position, we need a professional self-starter with great communication skills and exceptional customer service. This Technician will be required to work onsite with 3-4 other individuals at this location.

Overview:

  • Performs service, repair and/or installation of computer products including system hardware and software, MFD printers, PCs, single and multi-processor servers, and wired / wireless networking

  • Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment

  • Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems

  • Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures, using established procedures

  • Determines the most cost-effective repair / resolution to minimize customer downtime

  • Performs general maintenance tasks and resolves less complex problems immediately, while more complex issues are addressed with a higher level of support

  • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

  • Acts as liaison between customers, departments, and within the organization to lead problem resolution and change management processes

  • Ensures that all schedules, transmission, online systems, and problems are resolved in an accurate and timely manner

  • Consistently provides and updates notes, feedback, or documentation

  • Tracks and monitors issues; as well as makes autonomous, positive results

  • May use problem management databases and help desk system

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related experience, or AA degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • A+ certification

  • Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products

  • Ability to transform technical IT language into terms everyone understands

  • Outgoing personality as they will be working with the public on a daily basis.

  • Relatable with customers and impeccable with follow-through
