A Technology Services / Help Desk Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for individuals requiring technical support on hardware and software that is utilized across the enterprise. It is essential that incumbents are courteous and professional at all times, always seeking to fulfill the needs of their clients, and able to manage their clients' expectations. Provide basic to complex support and take responsibility for tracking and coordinating problems and solutions, as well as for collecting and analyzing customer satisfaction data.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm; averaging 38.75 hours per week.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

  • Provides support on all basic client software and hardware products; escalates problems appropriately; monitors and maintains ownership of tickets to ensure problem resolution

  • Troubleshoots basic issues / problems; is heavily dependent on scripts and checklists as guides; documents solutions

  • Must be able to demonstrate customer service skills such as patiently seeking to understand customer issues and situations, providing workarounds, proper follow-up, and status updates

  • Ability to remain organized while performing multiple tasks

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Works with technical support personnel (internally and externally) to retrieve solutions for clients

    Position Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma required

  • Typically requires entry level-2 years in a functional position or related work experience, education, or training

  • Demonstrates working knowledge with Windows 7, Windows 10, Outlook and 2007-2016 Office products: Office 365, OneDrive, Skype for Business, SharePoint, Yammer

  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Easily adapts to changing situations, requirements, or priorities

  • Understanding and appreciation of individual differences

  • Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies, and develops solutions to problems in a timely manner
